El piloto chino Zhou fue quien sufrió el accidente.
Apenas arrancaba el Gran Premio de Silverstone en Inglaterra, cuando ocurrió el accidente. El piloto Guanyu Zhou salió disparado y con el auto al revés. El equipo informó, después de minutos de desespero en todo el deporte, que el piloto está en buen estado de salud.

Al ver las imágenes, el carro se fue directo a los parales, sin embargo, el carro se levantó y terminó en una reja que separa al público de la pista.
Tras el accidente, los organismos de socorro de la carrera acudieron a mirar cómo estaba el piloto, quien salió con vida y fue dirigido al hospital para hacer chequeos de rigor.
